Welcome to the Denning Family Funeral Home website! This was formerly Stendeback Family Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon. We want to share a little information with everyone. First, I want to say that we are honored and grateful to have this opportunity to be able to serve your family in their time of need. We know that this is a huge responsibility and is one that we do not take lightly.

We invite everyone to visit this site and sign up for the obituary notifications. The last year Mt. Vernon obituaries have been copied to the new website, but not all of them were able to be transferred. All of the obituaries from the previous years will still be on Stendeback’s website and can be searched in the future. We also suggest liking and following our new Facebook page so you can see obituaries when they are posted.

We will be remodeling at the Funeral Home and updating things soon. We are trying to prioritize these projects to ensure our facility is always ready to serve your family. If you stop in and see things in disarray, just know that we are working to bring everything up to date.

No words could ever express our gratitude for the love and support from families and the community. This has gotten us to where we are today. We appreciate all the kind words and support we receive daily. We especially want to send our sincere thanks to Bill and Lynn Stendeback, who has prepared us for this venture.
