Alfred Ray Goff

Alfred Ray Goff, 73, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at his home. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 26th, 1950, to the late Lula Mae and Fred Kimmell. He was married to Brenda (Bulla) Goff for 36 years.

Ray was a farmhand for many years and enjoyed working on the farm. He also liked working on crossword puzzles.

Ray is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, Clifton Goff of Carmi, Illinois; stepchildren, Frank Davis, Susan Conrad (Jeff Osborne), and April Stewart all of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Rowen and Asa Goff, Brandon, Mark, Brittney, Cody, Lindsay (Dax), Andrew, Troy, Sierra (Jermaine), and Zachary; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, John; and great-grandson, Duke Johnson.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the Denning Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Dallas Robinson officiating. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
