Bertha "Bea" E. (Hancock) Price

Bertha “Bea” Price, 91, of Poseyville, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.  She was born on August 25, 1932, in New Harmony, the daughter of Henry Hancock and Bertha (Cleveland) Hancock. She was married to William Ray Price who preceded her in 2000.

Bea worked as a retail clerk for many years at the pharmacy in Poseyville. She was also a CNA for 16 years at Allison’s Healthcare.  

She is survived by her two sons, Howard (Vickie) Price, and Tony (Mary) Price. Twelve grandchildren, Codi Alberti, Richard Bennett, Angie Bennett, Donnie Austin, Nikki Noah, Courtney Price, Misty Mauck, Shawn Price, Boaz Price, and Jay Price; fourteen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, Vicky Dillon.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Meador; son, Guy Wayne Price; granddaughter, Crystal Hayden; and sister, Alice Young.
