Beverley J. (McDurmon) Utley

Beverley Joan Utley (McDurmon), born on July 23, 1938, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024 surrounded by her family. Beverley was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Beverley was the devoted wife of the late Norris E. Utley, and together they built a life filled with love and joy. She was predeceased by her sister, Rosemary Decker, her mother, Georgia Greubel (Atterbury), and her father, Arthur McDurmon.

She leaves behind her cherished children, son, Troy Utley (wife Becky) and daughter, Shelley Goad (husband Jeff). Sister in Law, Janice Gatewood (husband Geary). Beverley was a proud and loving grandmother to Riley Motz (husband Connor), Haley Goad (fiancé Nathaniel Schmittler), Stephanie Folz and Great Granddaughter Chloe’ Schminke (husband Luke) along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family was her pride and joy, and she devoted her life to their happiness and well-being.

Beverley had a passion for showing horses, a hobby that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her love for horses was evident to all who knew her, and she spent countless hours caring for and showing these beautiful animals.

Her generous spirit, gentle nature, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Beverley was a beacon of strength and compassion, always putting others before herself and offering a helping hand to those in need.

A memorial service to celebrate Beverley's life will be held on July 15, 2024. The viewing will be from 11:00-1:00 with the service immediately following at Denning Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, In.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Posey County Saddle Club, an organization dear to Beverley's heart.

We will forever cherish the memories we have with Beverley and hold her close in our hearts.
