Beverly A. (Yeida) Tucker, 75, of Mt. Vernon, left this earthly world and was welcomed into the arms of her savior on Friday, November 10, 2023. Beverly was born on May 11, 1948, in Point Township the daughter of the late William “Bud” and Margaret (Mercer) Yeida. She was married to her husband, Billy Tucker, for 56 years.
Beverly was a 1966 Mt. Vernon High School graduate. She later went on and drove a bus for over 20 years for the MSD of Mt. Vernon. Beverly loved collecting antiques and selling many of them in the shop she owned with her husband, Tucker’s Sporting Goods. She enjoyed history and was a member of the Posey County Historical Society and gave presentations on the history of Point Township. She also served on the Point Township Advisory Board for several years. Above all, she was a devoted Christian. She was a lifelong member of the Point Township Church of the Nazarene. She held many positions in the church and was involved in just about every part of the church function. She was instrumental in overseeing church services in the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab and has led that service for over 50 years. She also helped with services at Cloverleaf Apartments for many years as well; however, her most treasured role was devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Billy; children, Allen (Angel) Tucker, Aaron (Susan) Tucker, Andy Tucker, Trinity Tucker, and Anthony Tucker; grandchildren, Katie (Levi) Shannon, Brooklyn (Brenden) Bube, Nicole Tucker, Jaycie Tucker, Carson Tucker, and Deni Lynn Tucker; great-granddaughter, Claire Shannon; brother, Pete Yeida; sisters, Mary Price and Connie Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jerry and Tony Yeida; sisters, Gloria Forsee, Jane Healy, and Donna Wallace.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the Denning Family Funeral Home. Rev. Dallas Robinson and Rev. Bryan Thompson will officiate with burial to follow in Weiss Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
