Carla J. Cox, 73, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at her home. Carla was born August 17, 1950, in Evansville, to the late Paul and Mary (Breeden) Burgess. Carla was preceded in death by her husband, Herdis Cox in 2020.
Carla was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church and a devoted Christian. She was an avid clock collector and enjoyed working on her word search books.
She is survived by her children, Darla (Tim) Turner, Mark (Julie) Cox, Bryan (Bridget) Cox, Vince (Danielle) Cox, and Rick Cox; 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Danny (Connie) Burgess. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sisters, Tammie and Brenda Burgess.
