Clifton Carl Redman was born on July 6, 1964. At a young age, Clif entered foster care and was taken in by Robert and the late Sandra Redman. When the Redman family relocated to Florida, Clif remained in their care, continuing to grow under their guidance and love. Later, when the Redmans moved to California, they officially welcomed Clif into their family through adoption.
Clif was kind-hearted and always willing to help those in need—even when he didn’t have much to give himself. His generosity and compassion remained constant, regardless of his own circumstances. He was also a talented artist who found joy and expression through drawing.
Throughout his youth and adulthood, Clif faced challenges with addiction. Though the road was difficult, he showed resilience and experienced moments of clarity and sobriety. Clif experienced cardiac arrest on Friday, June 6 and peacefully passed away at Deaconess Midtown on June 16, 2025.
One of Clif’s final acts of kindness was signing up to be an organ donor. Although medical circumstances ultimately prevented the donation from taking place, the selflessness behind that choice remains a powerful testament to who he was.
We want to thank the exceptional nurses who cared for Clif over the last several days and the Indiana Donor Network.
He will be deeply missed by those who loved him—remembered not only for his struggles, but for the warmth, kindness, and creativity he brought into the world.
He is survived by his father, Capt. Robert L. Redman, USN, Ret.; his brothers, William, Jameson (Heather), Timothy; his sisters, Cassaundra, Robin (Tom), Rebecca (Tony), Kimberlee, numerous nieces, nephews, wife, Kathleen Redman; stepchildren, Lee, William and Kevin; 13 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra L. Redman, his grandparents, and stepdaughter Leanne Brett.
