Corey J. Gregory

Corey J. Gregory, 46, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Corey passed peacefully with his loving wife, Donna, at his side, after battling his illness for many years. Corey was born in Bismarck, North Dakota to Larry and Claudia (Lilly) Gregory on November 22, 1976. Corey was married to his soulmate Donna (Carroll) Gregory for over 20 years.

After graduating high school he earned an associate degree and later started his long career as a truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed duck and deer hunting and spent many hours pursuing game. Corey had a larger-than-life attitude and filled any room he was in with laughter. He had a caring and loving soul and was there when someone needed help. As much as he loved being outdoors, he made sure to make his family come first including his 2 dogs. Corey was a Christian and his love for God was obvious to all who met him.

Corey is survived by his wife, Donna; mother, Claudia; sister, Pamela (Michael) Daughery; nieces and nephews, Ella Embrey (Anthony), Lida May (Zach), Robby (Lauren), Mikey (Star), Shelley (Gabe), and Jacob Daughery; aunts and uncles. Celeste Lilly, Brook Lilly, Ann (Lloyd) Robins, Becky (Kenny) Mason, Patty Coe, Sharon Roach, Kim Mullen, and Tim Schmitt; special friend, Tim Burnett; and many cousins.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon from 3 to 6:30 pm, with a prayer service at 6:30 pm.
