Ervin "Robbie" L. Robison

Ervin “Robbie” L. Robison, 81, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on September 13, 2024, at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab.

Ervin graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and went on to work and retire from Welborn Hospital as an electrician. Ervin was a man of strong faith, pastoring several churches and occasionally filling in for other preachers. He was a member of the Point Township Church. He loved playing his guitar and singing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his old westerns, and just sitting on the front porch relaxing. He loved his family fiercely and was dedicated to them and supported them in everything they did.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Robison; children, Kenny (Jennifer) Addison, Roy Addison, Renea (Jerry) Stokes, Brett Robison; and Jon (Suzanna) Robison; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (Darrell) Cox, Kenneth (Anita) Robison, and Dorcas (Trey) West; Uncle, John Robison; Aunt, Norma Simon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Duane Dowler.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with Rev. Dallas Robinson and Rev. Troy Dekemper officiating. Visitation will take place from 2:00 pm until service time on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Point Township Church.
