George W. White Obituary

George "Willie" W. White, 63, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on November 11, 2025, at Deaconess Hospital Midtown. George was born in Evansville on December 2, 1961, the son of the late George “Buddy” White and Alfa (Browning) Byrd.

Shortly after high school, George began working for Westtech Fencing, where he stayed for over 25 years. He later worked for Mt. Vernon Barge Service until his health declined.

George had a strong work ethic—he was known for his dedication and reliability, qualities his children proudly carry on in their own lives. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

George is survived by his wife, Susan White; his children, Crystal (Jeremy) Hayden and Thomas White; grandchildren, Gabriel Nunn, Gage Hayden, Oanna White, Hunter White, and Alana White; brother, Jason White; and sisters, Bonnie Dillard, Mary Mayes, and Jessica White. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Nation.

Per George’s wishes, no services will be held. Online condolences may be shared at denningfamilyfuneralhome.com
