John "Tiny" W. Loehr

John “Tiny” W. Loehr, 82, of Mt. Vernon passed away at his home on January 28, 2020. John was born in Mt. Vernon on August 22, 1937 the son of William H & Dorothy (Lang) Loehr. He was married to M. Marie (Banks) Loehr and she precedes him in death.

John was a welder and worked at B&W, Bucyrus Erie, and J& J Welding before his retirement. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

He is survived by his daughter; Barbara (Mark) VanZant, granddaughter; Sonya (Brandan) Riordan, great-grandson; Chance Lueder, sisters; Darlene Cook and Eva McQueen. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother; Keith “Bud” Loehr, Glen Loehr, and Harold "Sunny" Loehr.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Dallas Robinson officiating. Burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery will follow. Visitation will take place Thursday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society.
