Judith A. (Nation) Thompson, 75, of Mt. Vernon passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 12, 2021. She was born in Mt. Vernon on December 21, 1945 the daughter of Homer and Mary (Mosley) Nation.
Judith worked at Dairy Queen in Mt. Vernon for many years. She loved quilting and playing Bingo. Judith was a foster mother for many years providing care to many kids over her life.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Thompson and Brandon Thompson; daughters, Julie (Steve) Healy, Krissie Thompson, and Felicia (Matthew) Hurst; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Edward (Kay) Nation, Roger (Doris) Nation; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy, Jim, Donald, Ivan Wayne, William, and Michael Nation; sisters, Betty McGraw and Dorothy Southward.
A walkthrough visitation will take place on March 17, 2021 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Due to the national health crisis, mask will be required, and social distancing should be maintained. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the American Cancer society.
