Kerry W. Shephard, 62, of Mt. Vernon passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Deaconess Hospital. Kerry was born in New Harmony the son of Mac and Barb (Storey) Shephard on August 5, 1960. Kerry married Tina (Hanmore) Shephard on July 23, 2007.

Kerry had worked for Ewing Tire in Mt. Vernon for many years. He also helped his wife cook at Dean’s Diner. Kerry liked archery and was a former boxer. Kerry was blessed with several grandchildren and loved spending time with them and his children.

Kerry is survived by his wife, Tina; children, Misty Shephard (Roger), Steven (Kayla), Corey, Jason, Kerry Jr., Rusty (Jessica), and, Samantha Shephard, Donna Hope, Aaron (Allison) Hope, Jennifer (Jeff) Emery, Josh, and Jared Osborne; daughter-in-law, Joblina Shephard; 28 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Diana Burnett (Timothy Blue), Shannon Davis, James Pope, and Bill Jones, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and children, Amanda Shephard and Kenneth Hope.
