Larry J. Robb

Lawrence Joseph Robb, 68, better known as Larry, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, in New Harmony, Ind.

Born Sept. 10, 1956, he was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Joyce Robb, and his sister, Candy Loveridge.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Millie; his children Valerie (Josh), Janet (Jarrod), and Christopher (Kristen); and his two grandsons, James and Peter.

Always armed with a joke, Larry served Posey County in various first responder positions including the New Harmony and Black Township Volunteer Fire Departments; Posey County EMS; Posey County Dispatch, and Posey County Sherriff’s Department.

He retired as the Posey County Emergency Management Agency Director in 2023 and was enjoying retirement, happily reminding everyone that every day was Saturday to him.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Johnson United Methodist Church, in New Harmony, Ind., Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until service time at the church on Tuesday.
