Monda Joyce Briesacher, 91, of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 2, 2024. She was born on October 18, 1932, the daughter of Barnett and Carolyn (Bell) Loehr.
Joyce was at church anytime the doors were opened for as long as she was able. She was a member of Point Township Church of the Nazarene. She loved Jesus and her family. Joyce loved listening to music, growing flowers, watching her hummingbirds, reading her Bible, and cooking. She made the best coconut pie.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Gigi (Mark) Kozinski, and her son, David Briesacher; grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Worthington, Tiffany (George) Wirick, Dan (Kassandra) Briesacher, Carrielyn (Joshua) Walden, Rachel (Clay) Lincoln and Rylan (Samantha) Kozinski; great-grandchildren, Evan, Seth, Bella, Piper, Cali, Timmy, Jake, Lily, Brandie, Connor, Andrew, James, Brynlee, Aidan, Isaiah, Raina, and Baker; great-great grandchildren, Xander. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glen, and her sons, Glenie, Timothy, and Daniel Briesacher.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Rev. Troy Dekemper will officiate with burial to follow in Black Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the Beyond the Walls Ministry.
