Nancy J. (Overton) Reeves

Nancy J. (Overton) Reeves, 71, of Evansville, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on June 28, 2024. Nancy was born in New Harmony on July 9, 1952, by her biological parents James Colter and Carolyn Overton. But was raised by her grandparents, Evertt and Sylvia (Irvin) Atchison Nancy married Paul Reeves on July 13, 1968, and he preceded her in death in 2020. 

Nancy was very involved with her family being a stay-at-home mom raising her 3 children. She enjoyed watching her old westerns on TV and painting in her spare time. She also enjoyed shopping and collecting anything and everything. She also loved animals. 

Nancy is survived by her children, Jeff (Amber) Reeves, and Kevin Reeves; grandchildren, Cory (Steely), Aaron, Sylvia, Jordan, Lane, Madison, and Peyton; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Dorsey and Donna Middleswart. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherri (Reeves) Vanlue,  and a sister, Sharon Reid. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will take place from 11:00 until service time on Monday.
