Paul W. Bundy, 87, of Mt. Vernon, went to be with the Lord and his precious wife on February 4, 2026. Paul was born in Savah, Indiana on February 21, 1938, the son of Virgil and Olivia (LaDuke) Bundy.
After high school, Paul enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in El Paso, TX. He met and married the love of his life, Wanda (Wilson) Bundy, and they began their family together. Paul was a true family man who loved his family deeply, was devoted to his wife, and was very involved in the upbringing of his children, grandchildren, and even his great-grandchildren. He cherished the time he spent with them all.
Paul loved taking country drives, especially when family tagged along. He was also an avid hunter who enjoyed time in the woods or the duck blind. He loved the outdoors, and anytime he could be outside, that’s where you would find him—whether mowing, fixing something for one of the kids or grandkids, or lending a helping hand.
After over 50 years with Charlie Lawrence Homes, spending most of that time as a job foreman, Paul retired to enjoy his family and hobbies. Paul was also a strong man of faith and one of the founding members of Harvestime Temple in Mt. Vernon.
Paul is survived by his children, Mike (Jeanne) Bundy, and Paula Bundy; grandchildren, Kristen (Aaron) Voelker, Mike Bundy, and Cadie (Brandon) Morrow; and great-grandchildren, Kendall, Avery, Maebrie, Canaan, Evelyn, and Everett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his siblings, Bill Bundy, Harold Bundy, and Ellen Fleming.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Denning Family Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place later. Memorial contributions may be made to Harvestime Temple in Mt. Vernon.
