Peggy J. (Zink) Knight

Peggy J. Knight, 88, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, passed away on June 20, 2025, at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on January 31, 1937, the daughter of James and Nora (Schopf) Zink. Peggy married her sweetheart, Richard, who preceded her in death on March 22, 2025.

Peggy and Richard are survived by their children, Rick Knight and Kristy Schaefer and their spouses; grandchildren and great grandchildren; Richards’s sister, Ruth Braker; as well as nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
 

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Chancellor Cancer Center for their care during Richard's illness and Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab for the compassion and care they provided to Peggy.

Peggy will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in a private service at a later date.
