Rachel L. Osborne

Rachel L. Osborne, 41, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Riverbend Nursing and Rehab. Rachel was born in Evansville, on October 7, 1982, the daughter of George Kevin Osborne and Teresa L. Jarred

Rachel was a class of 2001 Mt. Vernon High School graduate. She worked at Wessleman’s during high school. After graduating she worked for WSI in Mt. Vernon before her health declined. She used to enjoy fishing with her nieces and nephew and looking for morels with her father. Rachel was a very proud Aunt who loved her nieces and nephew dearly.  

She is survived by her parents, grandmother, Janet Gross; sisters, Jennifer (Jim) Tinsley and Amanda Osborne; nieces, Mahala Tinsley and Eliana Simmons; nephew, Eli Simmons; and loyal friend, Kristen Fink. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Connie (Garrett) Osborne, Charles Robert Hargrove, David (Poppy) Gross; aunt, Carol Hargrove; and uncle, Steve Osborne.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2023, at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
