Robert Wiley Yancy

Robert W. Yancy, 65, of Griffin, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023, at his home. Wiley was born on January 22, 1958, the son of General Lee and Mary Jane (Wallace) Yancy. He was married to Belinda (Carner) Yancy and she preceded him in death.

Wiley worked as a truck mechanic for many years. He enjoyed model making and was a very talented painting and sketching artist. He also liked working in his woodworking shop.

He is survived by his son, Eren (Amanda) Yancy; daughter, Melissa (Danny) Pfingston; granddaughter, Hannah Miller; and great-grandchildren, Carter Wood and Lyrica McCoy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, William, Edgar, Buster, and Daniel Yancy; and sister, Mary Wanda.  

Robert will be laid to rest with his wife at Bethsaida Cemetery at a later date. Denning Family Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements. Online condolences may be left at denningfamilyfuneralhome.com
