Roger E. Waibel

Roger E. Waibel, 65, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Roger was born in Evansville on October 20, 1957, the son of Harold and Estelle (Weinzapfel) Waibel.

Roger earned his MBA and taught at Ivy Tech, the University of Evansville, and Oakland City University, while also selling insurance for many years. Roger enjoyed playing tennis and took almost daily walks. He was a train enthusiast and had a complex model train set up in his basement complete with landscaping.

Roger is survived by his brother, Randy (Psam) Waibel; nephews, Albert and William; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. Philip Catholic Church, with Fr. Ryan Hilderbrand officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 until service time at the church. Online condolence may be left at denningfamilyfuneralhome.com
