Ronald E. Green

Ronald E. Green, 71, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on November 26, 2025, at the Linda White Hospice House. Ronald was born on June 14, 1954, the son of the late James and Bonnie (Cox) Green.

Ronald graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. He was well known around town for the many years he spent riding his three-wheeled bike through the community. It brought him great joy to cruise around, greeting familiar faces and enjoying the sights of town. Ronald had a great personality and brought joy to those who were around him. He loved sports and spent countless hours playing basketball, becoming especially skilled at making one-handed three-point shots. He also enjoyed watching ball games of all kinds.

Ronald was an expert checkers player, often besting anyone who took up the challenge. He also enjoyed listening to music.

Ronald is survived by his brother, Richard (Vivian) Green; sisters, Carolyn Kern, Charlotte (Malcolm) Ricketts, Martha Nobles, and Joyce (Stan) Hack; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Chester and Hazel Cox.
