Ruth M. (Holbrook) Crawford passed away on February 25, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on January 11, 1948, in Evansville to Clarence and Anna (Terrell) Holbrook.
Ruth was a 1965 graduate of Mater Dei High School. She worked for Hutch & Sons Industrial Electronics for over 30 years before her retirement. Ruth was deeply devoted to her faith and an active member of Bible Center Cathedral. She was also passionately involved with Restore Outreach Ministry, dedicating her time to its mission.
Ruth found immense joy in being with her family and was a steadfast source of love and support. She had a special gift for nurturing others and was like a second mother to many.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Crawford; children, Joe Boatman, Robert (Heather) Boatman, and Angie (John) Hildebrandt; grandchildren, Shelbie Boatman, Robert Allen Boatman, Sondra Boatman, Alexander Rockman, Tabetha Godsey, Travis Godsey, Trevor Godsey, John J. Hilderbrandt, Hallee Hilderbrandt, and Thomas Hilderbrandt; great-grandchildren, Samuel Chesnut, August Godsey and Kai Rockman; close nephew, Derek Crawford; sister, Patricia Kennedy; brothers, Gill (Jo Ann), Tom (Zelma), and Paul Holbrook; aunt, Sue Terrell; and a large extended family with many neices and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dennis Holbrook.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at Bethsaida Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 2, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the service on Monday.
