Sabrina Lynn Loehr, 63, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on October 26, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. Sabrina was born in Terre Haute on September 27, 1961, the daughter of William Dillsworth and Alice Gwaltney.
To know Sabrina was to love her. She was very involved with her family and had many “adopted families” which she took in as her own and showed them all the love and support she showed her own. She always had a positive attitude, which was evident while she was dealing with her cancer and was genuinely happy to see other people and talk with them, and she was always sure to mention something about her grandbabies when talking with her. She was an avid sports fan and was involved with local sports as well. She also loved knitting and made many special items she would give out to family and friends.
Sabrina is survived by her husband, Waylon Loehr; children, Kyle Austin (Magan Holbrook), Trevor and Savannah Loehr; grandchildren, Briley, Harper, Declan, Gavin, and Charlee; brother, Gene Dillsworth, and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her father, William Dillsworth and mother and stepfather, Alice and Jack Gwaltney.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home and again on Wednesday an hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Chemo Buddies or Newlife Animal Rescue. Online condolence may be left at denningfamilyfuneralhome.com
