Terry Ledbetter Obituary

Terry Lynn Ledbetter, 56, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, passed away on June 19, 2026. Born on January 29, 1970, in McLeansboro, Illinois, Terry was the son of Thomas and Pauline Ledbetter.

Terry spent his life dedicated to his work and family. As a Team Lead at WSI, he was known for his commitment and leadership. His colleagues were not just coworkers but an extension of his family, a testament to the deep connections he formed throughout his career.

Outside of work, Terry found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was happiest riding his Harley, feeling the freedom of the open road. A collector of knives and guns, he appreciated the craftsmanship and history. His love for his family was unwavering, and he cherished time spent with them as well as with his beloved cat Smokey. A man of faith, Terry held a strong belief in God that guided him throughout his life.

Terry is survived by his loyal companion Smokey, brother Mike (Mary Ann) Ledbetter; nieces Summer (Cody) Wright and Lisa (Steve) Laughlin; nephew Daniel Ledbetter; great-niece Aaliyah Ledbetter; great-nephews Jace Wright, Jake Laughlin and Bradley Ziegler. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Pauline Ledbetter; brother John Ledbetter; and sister Deborah Myers.

May Terry’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, at Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
