Vincent Wells

Vincent L. Wells, 62, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on September 5, 2025, at Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab.

He was born on March 18, 1963, to Herdis Wells and Carolyn (Colburn) Bell. A graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Vincent went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army, spending part of his service stationed in Germany.

After his military service, Vincent worked for several years as a chauffeur, transporting crews to and from offshore oil rigs. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing—day or night, whenever he had the chance. He also loved creating oil paintings and found joy in online gaming, where he formed lasting friendships.

Vincent is survived by his sister, Sherri Tolley; niece, Rebekah Tolley; and Rebekah’s sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herdis and Carolyn, and siblings, Gregory Wells, Lucinda Kegler, and Vicky Enlow.
