Wanda J. (Wilson) Bundy

Wanda J. Bundy, 87, of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born on August 1, 1937, in Mt. Vernon to Charles and Helen (Walls) Wilson.

Wanda dedicated nearly 40 years of her professional life as a secretary for Charles Lawrence Homes. A woman of deep faith, she was a founding member of Harvestime Temple, where she served faithfully as secretary and treasurer for 40 years. Her commitment to her church and community reflected her steadfast devotion to her beliefs.

Wanda cherished her family above all else and found immense joy in spending time with them. She loved being outdoors, whether tending to her garden or fishing. A talented cook and baker, Wanda delighted in preparing meals and treats for her loved ones, creating countless cherished memories around the table.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Paul Bundy; her children, Mike (Jeanne) Bundy and Paula Bundy; grandchildren Kristen (Aaron) Voelker, Mike Bundy, and Cadie (Brandon) Morrow; great-grandchildren Kendall, Avery, Maebrie, Canaan, Evelyn, and Everett; and her sister, Deena Wilson. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Butch Wilson; and her sister, Doris Shepard.

Private family services will be held to honor Wanda’s life. Memorial contributions may be made to Harvestime Temple in her memory.

Wanda’s unwavering faith and love for her family leave a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
