Obituary

Willard (Will) Edward Irvin, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Linda E White Hospice Home. He was born on February 20, 1940, in New Harmony, IN, to the late James and Emily (Reed) Irvin.

He retired from General Electric in 2001. Willard enjoyed fishing and gardening. He also liked camping and him and Vonda took the grandkids many times making many memories with them. In his later years, he loved spending time at his cabin on Harrisburg Lake in Illinois.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Shirley Essary and Bevel Sue Sorter; brother, Jimmy Irvin.

Willard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vonda (Miller) Irvin; sons, Kirt (Kathy) Irvin of New Harmony, Kevin (Nikki) Irvin of Evansville, Kip (Shayne) Irvin of Vincennes, Kyle (Laura) Irvin of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Cody (Katelin) Irvin, Hunter (Ashley) Irvin, Colton Irvin, Ryan (Rachelle) Irvin, Brant Irvin, Brianne Irvin, Joseph Irvin, Shane (Amber) Irvin, Jarrin Goodwin, Jamie (Ryan) Little, Tyler (Maggie) Gebhardt, Chad Irvin, and Terra (Brad) Johnson; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews

A celebration of Willard’s life will be held at a later date. Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is overseeing the arrangements. Online condolence may be left at denningfamilyfuneralhome.com
