William Dallas Reynolds, 40, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, passed away on January 30, 2025.
Dallas was born on June 26, 1984, in Carmi, Illinois, to William ”Billy” Foster Reynolds and Mary Helen (Chandler) Reynolds. He attended Mt. Vernon High School and later worked as a dedicated area handyman. Known for his love of fishing, Dallas found peace and joy on the riverbanks, often spending days immersed in the activity he cherished most. He also had a deep compassion for animals and was known to bring home many strays in need of care.
Dallas was a devoted family man who loved his family deeply and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to those around him. His kindness and willingness to assist others left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Helen Reynolds; his children, Natalie Escoto-Aponte and Joshua Escoto-Reynolds; his siblings, John (Nikkole) Reynolds, Brian Ball, Willy Reynolds, Stephen Reynolds, Pat Reynolds, Hellena (Rocky) Spinks, Misty (Noel) Escoto-Aponte, and Brandy (Ryan) Gribben; his stepfather, Rudy Guanajuato; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dallas was preceded in death by his father, Billy; his stepmother, Teresa “Ball” Reynolds; his grandparents, Margaret and Dallas Gunnels, Mary and Elmer Chandler, and Roland & May Reynolds; his nieces, Destinee and Angel Spinks; and several aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Denning Family Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
